As an individual and couples therapist, my focus is creating an authentic space where genuine expression thrives. When we allow ourselves freedom to express our inner world, we begin to see ourselves more clearly. Once the awareness grows, change can feel more accessible.
Individual Therapy:
Therapy is a space to hold you as you are, while also supporting the changes you envision for your life. Through inner exploration, gentle self-accountability, and self-kindness, the therapeutic space has the potential to help you shift the areas of your life where you may feel stuck, frozen, or hyper vigilant. Many of my clients are healing from complex trauma, anxiety, cyclical relational patterns, depression, stage of life transitions, and grief.
While I take a flexible and holistic approach to treatment, I commonly use the following orientations:
~Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, and relational therapy to explore relational and emotional depths
~EMDR and parks work for trauma reprocessing
~Somatic and mindfulness-based approaches to support embodiment and present moment awareness
~Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to increase awareness of self and change internal self talk
Couples Therapy:
I believe love is inherent to human beings. Couples therapy can support the exploration of things that get in the way of this inherent generosity of love. We track the cycles of interaction that block the expression and receptivity of care and connection, and work to orient towards the secure base of love within your partnership.
I utilize an attachment based model called Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). It has many years of research in its efficacy in helping couples rewrite painful patterns and deepen emotional bonds.
I offer in person therapy in Flagstaff AZ, as well as virtual therapy throughout the state of Arizona.
